Overview
Opened in 1973, Singapore Zoo is known for its open-concept design, using moats and water barriers instead of cages so animals live in near-natural surroundings. More than 300 species are on show, with the free-ranging orangutan area the signature scene. The adjacent River Wonders and Night Safari can be combined with it; together they form Mandai Wildlife Reserve.
