Overview
Brno is the second city of the Czech Republic, its core around Freedom Square and the Cabbage Market with Špilberk Castle and the cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul nearby. To the north, the Villa Tugendhat was designed by Mies van der Rohe and completed in 1930, known for its steel frame, floor-to-ceiling glass and less-is-more principle; it joined the World Heritage List in 2001. The city also has underground labyrinths and the 10-Z bunker.
